If Prison Walls Could Speak is a brand-new theatrical presentation written and produced by Artless Theatre Company in partnership with Release International.
If Prison Walls Could Speak contains a message that is both inspiring and challenging for both Christian and non-Christian audiences alike.
This one-man play is a hybrid multimedia performance featuring immersive video and sound.
Based on the book Imprisoned With Isis: Faith In The Face Of Evil, the play tells the true life story of Petr Jasek, who in 2015, was imprisoned for his work aiding the persecuted church in Sudan.
Charged as a spy and forced into horrifying prison conditions, If Prison Walls Could Speak is a powerful story of faith amid corruption and espionage, as Petr faces torturers, ISIS fighters and corrupt judges on his path to freedom.
No ticket purchase or reservation needed.
Have fun, be challenged by God’s Word and changed to live for Him more. If you’re aged between 3 and 11, then this online Keswick 4 Kids programme is for you!
Speaking about God, reading the Bible and looking at how to live as a Christian will be central to this week.
Our priority is to learn about God through his Word in the Bible. Through teaching and activities, God’s Word will be taught, and its relevance will be explained.
The theme for this week is Matthew chapter 8. We will gaze upon Jesus together and follow the disciples in asking the question ‘who is this man?’ We’re going to see Jesus heal diseases, teach his followers, calm the storm, and even cast out demons. As we do, we’re praying we’ll get to know him better and understand more of who he is.

Bible readings will be given by Alistair Begg.
In 1983, Alistair became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio, where he continues to lead the congregation and teach God’s Word Sunday by Sunday.
He will be speaking on 2 Timothy.
During the Convention, sessions will be livestreamed on the Keswick Ministries YouTube channel. They will then be available afterwards for catch up.
This letter records Paul’s last words. He is in prison, chained to a Roman soldier, dictating this letter to Luke for his young pastor friend, Timothy, Paul’s ‘true son in the faith’ (1 Timothy 1:2). Timothy had been his travelling companion on missionary journeys, had visited churches on his behalf, was with him during his first stint in prison and was now the pastor of the church in Ephesus. Paul wrote to Timothy encouraging him to visit, but, more importantly, pleading with him to stay faithful, keeping Christ and the gospel central to his life and ministry.
Paul calls his spiritual son Timothy to guard the gospel despite hardship. As he does so we get a window into how each of them became the man they were.
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
Paul reminds Timothy of those who have been steadfast and those who haven’t. He calls Timothy, with a renewed appeal, “to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
Paul calls Timothy to faithful ministry in the face of the challenge of false teachers.
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
Paul gives a damning indictment of false teachers and urges Timothy to stick with what he has learnt.
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
In a deeply personal end to the letter, Paul gives to Timothy the solemn charge to fulfil his ministry.

There are a number of seminar streams running throughout the week:
Please do look at the programme below for more details.
The Pattern of Gratitude seminar will be live streamed on the Keswick Ministries YouTube channel.
The other seminars will be available for catch up on the Keswick Ministries YouTube channel too.
Christians have always insisted on the goodness of creation. We’re going to consider Irenaeus of Lyons, a second-century leader of the Church, and see how his teaching can keep us from unbiblical, imbalanced attitudes on creation – and how our salvation in Jesus means hope for the world.
Hudson Taylor is one of the most famous names in world mission. His conviction of the truth of God’s word and gospel, and commitment to God’s mission, led him to China – and to Keswick – his ‘happy hunting ground’ for future missionaries. How can his life story inspire us to renew our conviction, commitment and excitement in sharing God’s good news?
A recent global survey reported that people are split roughly 50/50 over the question of whether religion does more harm than good. But are all religions the same? What factors may be important in the link between religion, health and well-being? And, specifically, what does the evidence show about the mental health benefits, as well as the potential harms, associated with Christian faith?
How do we get a handle on a book as perplexing as Ecclesiastes? What difference does Jesus make? An overview and introduction to this part of the wisdom literature with some big picture thinking about the whole of life.

The Trinity: if it’s too mysterious to understand, what’s the point? If getting it wrong is so dangerous, why engage? But we will never worship God rightly or enjoy God fully until we know Him as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Come see more by looking at Athanasius of Alexandria, and the Church’s struggle to stay faithful to the Triune God in the fourth century.
Lilias Trotter could have been one of the greatest artists of her generation. Instead, inspired and encouraged by the Keswick Convention, she spent 40 years in Algeria sharing the gospel. She followed God’s ambition and agenda, not the world’s. How will her fascinating story challenge us to do the same?
The bible is unequivocal in calling followers of Christ to gratitude and thanksgiving. But what do psychological studies show about the impact of counting our blessings? Does an attitude of gratitude enhance well-being and mental health? Or might being over-grateful undermine self-confidence and cultivate a naïve ‘Pollyanna-ism’ that runs counter to common sense? How can we cultivate healthy, life-giving habits in our personal formation in Christ?
An eternal God teaches creatures some of his greatest lessons through the vehicle of time. Wise people respect time’s rhythms and give up trying to control time’s seasons.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, but have we seen His glory? We’re going to think through fifth-century leader Cyril of Alexandria’s passionate proclamation of a Saviour who is fully divine and fully human, and contemplate the glory and goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Barclay Buxton came from a wealthy and influential Christian family. Their godly example was key in leading him to Christ, ministry, and mission in Japan. Visits to Keswick encouraged him throughout. Following his godly example his family also became involved in ministry and mission. How can we, like him, influence those we know and love to serve Christ?
Anxiety is on the rise, especially among young people. The bible teaches that perfect love ‘casts out’ fear, and Jesus counselled ‘let not your hearts be troubled.’ But is this easier said than done? Given evidence that human beings possess an in-built sensitivity to negative threats – the ‘power of bad’ – how can we order our hearts away from fear and toward a positive life-giving faith?
How can the day of death possibly be better than the day of birth (Ecc. 7:2)? Ecclesiastes is a mediation on the fact that we are whispers in the wind, here one minute and gone the next.

What the Bible says about human sin makes sense of us and our world like nothing else – but it’s never been easy to hear. We’re going to dwell on why salvation is something we need, and not something we can achieve on our own. We’re going to draw on Augustine of Hippo (AD 354-430) and his battle to articulate what Scripture says about sin and our salvation.
Amy Carmichael was the first ‘Keswick Missionary’. Her selfless devotion to Jesus led her to care for, and share the gospel with, some of the most neglected and vulnerable children in India. She saw herself and others through Jesus’ eyes. Will we?
Remember your identity is in Christ! This oft-repeated phrase – intended to encourage and instruct – rolls off the tongue. But in terms of how we govern our thoughts and feelings, what does it actually mean? What does having an identity in Christ actually look like, and feel like? And what difference should it make in terms of some of the confusion around identity so prevalent in our culture today?
If all is “meaningless, meaningless” how then should we live? What does a life well lived in light of eternity actually look like?

Paul wrote to the Ephesians: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.”
Prayer is integral to our relationship with the Lord. It is at the heart of the Convention and we want it to be part of Keswick Convention.
How to get involved:
From Monday to Friday there will be morning prayer meetings, in person in Base Camp (Packing Hall 1)
There will also be an accompanying prayer diary. Let us pray together!
If you have a particular prayer request, we have a prayer team that will pray for requests confidentially. Email: prayer@keswickministries.org
We are not able to reply to you, but rest assured we are praying for your request.

Friday: Needing Jesus – our family and friends need Jesus too
We meet the Lord Jesus as He acts mercifully and miraculously in the lives of a diversity of people facing various challenges. These episodes tie in with our theme Grateful, not so much in gratitude expressed by these people, but in the way they highlight reasons we have to be grateful to Him.
Join us for Evening Celebrations as we sing God’s praise and hear his word.
Speakers are: Alasdair Paine, James Robson, Ellidh Cook, Niv Lobo and David Gibson.
During the Convention, sessions will be livestreamed on the Keswick Ministries YouTube channel. They will then be available afterwards for catch up.
As we meet together once again after a long period of isolation and loneliness, we begin this series in Matthew 8-9 by joining Jesus as he encounters a man with leprosy and brings him out of his own self-isolation.

While on earth Jesus ministers to and heals many people who come to him with various ailments. But what is the true and deeper meaning of these physical healings?
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
Jesus quickly is recognised as a miracle maker and great healer but in these verses (Matthew 8:18-22) he shares the true cost of what it is to be his disciple.

In the epic and astonishing event of Jesus calming the storm many questions are raised as to who he really is. Jesus proves once again that his disciples can trust him during all the storms of life.

As Jesus travels into Gentile country he shows that he has the power to restore two-demon possessed men. Even here, in ‘unclean’ settings, Jesus has the power to save. Though it may not always be welcome.
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
As we reach the climax of this series we see two kinds of people, both needy in different ways, who are transformed by their meeting with Jesus.

We live in a culture obsessed with self- definition, self-fulfillment, and the pursuit of self-esteem. In this lecture, through the history of ideas and the rise of modern psychology, we trace the roots of western culture’s ‘inward turn’. We expose the harms, as well as the potential benefits, of today’s absorption with the self. And finally, we explore how the Christian Gospel points to a better story of human flourishing.
