One of a series of lunchtime concerts where, over the week, you can enjoy a range of music, poetry and comedy performances from KU’s artists.
Stewart Henderson is a poet, song lyricist and broadcaster. His poetry appears in numerous anthologies. Esteemed, Sunday Times, and Daily Telegraph radio critic, Gillian Reynolds says, ‘he understands the packed power of words, the importance of their use and measure’. He returns to KU with his latest anthology, ‘Especially, now…’. ‘Trenchant and tender…words to whistle in the tumult’.
Carol Henderson is a writer and apprentice iconographer, whose BBC Networked radio appearances include drama readings on Radio 4 documentaries. Her latest icon was exhibited at ‘Metamorphosis’ at The London Jesuit Centre, officially viewed by HRH The Prince of Wales. Her largest work, ‘The Holy Trinity’, has recently been purchased for The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Bermuda.
Singer/songwriter Yvonne Lyon continues to deliver engaging material with fresh imagination. She returns to Keswick to perform a memorable collection of songs from her new album, Growing Wild and from Vesper Sky, featuring Stewart and Carol Henderson. Yvonne will also be launching Trace The Line, a collaborative album centred on the Sermon on the Mount.
