How can we improve the public reading of scripture in our churches? In this interactive workshop, James Cary and friends work through a few texts in John’s Gospel to give some insights into how a text can be read aloud that brings out the meaning and raises deep questions, engaging minds and enthralling hearts with God’s Word. Bring a Bible if you want to join in.

James is a BBC sitcom writer (Miranda, Bluestone 42, Hut 33), author (The Gospel According to a Sitcom Writer, The Sacred Art of Joking) and podcaster (Cooper and Cary Have Words, Keswick Convention Podcast). He is also member of the General Synod of the Church of England and the Archbishops’ Council.
