Seminar: School of Biblical Studies – Grasping God’s Masterpiece
Learning to rejoice in the Old Testament (Grateful for its scope)
The Old Testament’s scope impacts the whole of human history: it helps us understand the past, the present and the future as it speaks of creation, fall, redemption and the hope of the new creation. What a privilege we have when we understand the world from this perspective! As we explore this further together, we will discover confidence in times of uncertainty and a firm foundation on which to stand.
Seminar: Grateful when we don’t feel grateful
Cultivating my own gratitude
Sometimes we don’t feel very thankful. What do we do in those moments? The danger is we shrug our shoulders and get on with life. In this seminar we will explore practical ways we can pursue gratitude, particularly when we don’t feel it.
Seminar: Grateful Christ has Commissioned Me
Natural Evangelism – The Practice of Praying, Caring and Sharing (The Practice of Praying for Evangelism)
The act of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is called evangelism.
Evangelism is the cry of Jesus as He weeps over lost people.
Evangelism is the whole work of the whole church for the whole age.
The Gospel is not something we come to church to hear, it is something we go from church to tell.
In our four sessions together we will learn how to be more intentional in personal evangelism and how praying, caring and sharing our faith can help others on their journey of faith to Christ.
Be assured it will be a lot of fun! Lots of therapeutic laughter!
This session will also be available for catch-up via the live streaming link below.
Seminar: Knowing The Times: Christian Living in a Post-Christian Context
The State We’re In
The last fifty years have seen a radical transformation of British society. We are no longer a ‘Christian nation’ in any meaningful sense, but a secular post-Christian society. We will consider how British society has changed, why this has happened, the ideologies dominate the public square and what this means for contemporary Christians. Only by understanding our present context can we fully appreciate the challenges we face and opportunities we have.
