Seminar: Grateful for God’s Word – A Bible Overview
In the beginning: Creation and fall
These seminars will trace the storyline of the Bible, with a focus on all we have to be grateful for. My prayer is that in doing so we will:
– grow in knowledge who God is and who we are in relation to him
– understand any part of the Bible by relating it to this overarching storyline
– see how every part of scripture points to Jesus, and have our hearts lifted to adore him.
Seminar: Grateful for Everyday Work, Everyday Fruitfulness
YOUR particular work – why it matters to God
Thanking God it’s Monday? Grateful for your work – paid or unpaid? But does it matter to God? And if so why? Come explore the liberating truths of how your particular everyday work as tinker/tailor, banker/retailer, lawyer/ labourer, bedmaker or codemaker is valuable in itself and fits into God’s big mission in his world.
Seminar: Grateful for Mission – Costly Gratitude
Challenges and joys of being a follower of Jesus – Identity (Grateful for being chosen)
In an age when all sorts of questions and are flying around about how we understand our identities or what it means to live in a “celebrity culture”, this seminar will look at what the Bible says about “being in Christ” and how that shapes one’s Christian identity and offers us hope for how to navigate uncertain times.
Seminar: The Gratitude Initiative
The place of gratitude in missional engagement in the contemporary world
This seminar will discuss the role of Gratitude in our relationship with God, fellow believers and humanity as a whole. As such, we will be looking at:
– How we define Gratitude and its biblical foundations,
– why Gratitude should be our posture in life and its implications,
– why we believe Gratitude is central to our mission and discipleship,
– and the place of gratitude in our interaction with the wider culture.
It is my prayer, that as a result of our discussion we may come to appreciate how the posture of gratitude will help us grow into the likeness of Christ.

Morning Bible Reading
Grateful for our Blessings (Ephesians 1:1-14)
Do you know how blessed you are? We can’t limit those blessings to life here and now. Our blessings are in ‘heavenly realms’, and if we grasp what they are, it can transform how we face each day. Paul enumerates our blessings in this passage, which take in all the members of the trinity, and impact both time and eternity!

Evening Celebration
God’s daily care among life’s dangers (Psalm 56)
Psalm 56 takes us back to a dangerous part of David’s life (see 1 Samuel 21). While David was not immediately delivered from his situation, he does learn to lean on God’s goodness in his everyday trials.
